Lors d’un récent interview par le Wall Street Journal lors d’une conférence qui s’est tenue près de Los Angeles, Steve Jobs a déclaré que l’idée de l’iPad ne date pas d’hier. Ou pas seulement. En effet, dès l’an 2000, l’idée d’une tablette tactile multitouch lui avait déjà été soumise mais Apple se focalisait alors sur l’idée d’un téléphone révolutionnaire qui deviendra l’iPhone.
Steve Jobs n’ayant écarté l’idée de la tablette car, selon lui, l’avenir se vivra sans clavier physique. Il s’est également exprimé sur le potentiel énorme pour la presse d’un tel produit et les questions qui lui ont été posées sur le flash ont apportés les mêmes réponses : Steve Jobs ne souhaite pas implanter le flash dans les appareils mobiles Apple. Il croit en effet en l’avenir du HTML5.
Steve a également répondu à une question qui lui a été posée sur la possible concurrence par Apple d’un moteur de recherche pour faire face à Google. Steve a dit qu’il ne souhaitait pas concurrencer Google.
Finalement, quand on voit le prix de l’iPad qui est certe cher mais pas non plus démesuré, on se dit qu’heuresement que la tablette n’est pas sortie dans le début des années 2000 où le prix aurait été incroyablement élevé.
